What does the virgin plastics category cover?
This category covers virgin plastics, including polyolefins such as PP and PE, as well as engineering plastics. A polymer family name alone does not describe a specific grade. Refer to the exact commercial grade when reviewing technical documentation.

SABIC distinguishes polypropylene homopolymers from random and impact copolymers. The polyethylene family includes HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE for different flexible and rigid applications. State whether you need injection moulding, blow moulding or extrusion; do not assume all PP or PE grades are interchangeable.

It is a useful starting point, but include the grade, process, required colour and quantity. If an equivalent is acceptable, specify which properties must be maintained.
